Award Papers:
All the award papers must be submitted by email to Dr. Jahnavi Kedare, Award Committee Chairperson at jskedare@gmail.com. Last date for Award Paper submission is on 15th July, 2023. The winning award papers would automatically become the property of the journal-JGMH and publication in the same would be mandatory.

Awards
1. Dr. Shiv Gautam Oration
This is the most prestigious award of the IAGMH, conferred annually upon a member, following scrutinized nominations. The candidate has to submit one published (in the last 3 years in an indexed journal) and one unpublished original research in geriatric mental health. The award consists of a gold medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs.10,000/-.
2. Smt. Shweta Tiwari Memorial Award
This award is to encourage young IAGMH members <45 years of age to present their original unpublished research at the annual conference. In addition, they should have one unpublished paper in the field of geriatric mental health, which should be submitted too. The award consists of a gold medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs.10,000. At least 2/3rd of the authors should be members of the IAGMH.
3. IAGMH/INTAS Award
This award is to encourage research in geriatric mental health. Members of IAGMH, desirous of applying must submit their original unpublished research work to Chairperson, Awards Committee. There will be 3 prizes standard (subject to changes in case of a tie) -1 , 2 and 3 – consisting of a certificate and cash prize of Rs. 25,000; Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively. At least 2/3 of the authors and the presenting author should be members of the IAGMH.
4. Dr. Charles Pinto Best Poster Award
This award has been instituted in memory of Dr. Charles Pinto for the best Poster Paper Presentation based on the original work done in India in the field of geriatric psychiatry by a member (Principal author) within 5 years of completing his/her Post Graduate study (DPM, MD,DNB, DM) on geriatric psychiatry. The first author must be below 35 years of age. The first author and 50% of the authors must be members of IAGMH. The abstract should
be based on full paper. No award paper can be based only on the abstract. The award will be of Rs. 5,000/- for the best poster paper presentation.
The winning papers would automatically become the property of the journal-JGMH- and publication in the samewould be mandatory.
